...that every year Americans spend $35 billion on vitamins and supplements, only for 80% of all supplements to fill the sewer system UNDIGESTED?
Can you imagine wanting to boost your wellness routine by adding supplements, only for them not be digested & absorbed into your system...you poop/pee them out and they end up being flushed into the sewer system???
I thought I was being "grown up" when I was like 19 and bought my 1st supplement (a Centrum 1-a-day). I proudly took it assuming it was contributing to my health. HAHa...big JOKE>Fast forward to today and it doesn't come close to passing my "supp test."
What is the SUPP TEST?
It is a test that I give clients to test the absorbability of their supplements that are in pill/capsule form.
It is very simple. You fill a glass up with lukewarm water. Add 1 TBSP of vinegar and drop in 1 capsule. Observe the glass after 24 hours and the pill should switch from floating on top to being dissolved at the bottom of the glass.
If it is still floating on top, undissolved after 24 hours, throw them away. I don't care if you paid $1 or $100 for the bottle. It is a waste of money.
The only exception to this test are supplements that are 'Time-Released.' That means that it releases its contents slowly throughout the day.
Anyway, I was a Nazi when it came to formulating my supplements. There is a reason people see or feel results on all of my herbal supplements and medicinal teas.
So what is the purpose of supplements?
Most supplements are NOT meal replacements. They are meant to be ADDITIONAL. However, an exception is my liquid teatox drink set. It is designed to replace a meal during the detox. These are only available to miniRetreat participants. But I wanted it to be known that there are exceptions.
On a final note, remember to have a trigger to remind you to take your supplements. A trigger can be connected to a habit that you already have formed. For instance: You may use the habit of brushing your teeth as your trigger. Therefore as soon as you're done, you immediately take your supplements. Consistency is KEY when it comes to supplements. However, your body can get acclimated to them, so I take a break from supplements on Sundays. Or you may choose to take the 1st Friday and 3rd Friday off. Breaks are powerful bcs when you start them again, you're reminded of their power.
Happy supplementation cowboys and cowgirls.

Wouldn't it be a good idea to create a course?
