It sucks for you to have to try to use will-power and guilt to make yourself stop the bad habit. I once had an OCD called, ‘trichotillimania.’ It is an OCD that causes you to pull out your hair. Mine was very repetitive and lasted years. Fortunately mine wasn’t as bad as some of the cases I saw where people pulled complete bald patches on their scalp, eyebrows or eyelashes…but it made me feel like a freakin’ weirdo psycho nonetheless. I traced it back to starting the habit in middle school. That was right after my parents divorced and so more than likely, I was using it as a coping mechanism. I literally spent hours on hours trying to figure out how to ‘fix’ myself. I was completely discouraged when all the ‘expert’ solutions revolved around drugs or methods of awareness. Ex: Put a rubberband around your wrist and pop it whenever you consciously catch yourself doing the behavior to become aware of what you’re doing and hopefully stop. Those methods are just bandaids that make you feel more helpless.
Anyway, I’ve been what’s called, ‘pull free’ for almost 3 years now. YAY! The principles in my 4-Part Brain Activation system (that you find out about during my Supercharge Your Superhuman Seminars/Book/Challenge) allows you to once and for all commit identity/Image Suicide with the bad habit and implant any new desired ones.
..there are ONLY 4 ways to extract bad habits or implant good habits into the subconsious:
AutoHypnosis between ages 0-9 (as a child in single digits you are a sponge to your family & influencers thoughts, beliefs & behaviors)
Trauma (Highly emotionally charged events cause you to awaken to your truth or purpose and make massive changes without the need of will-power.)
Repetition( Repeating a thought, belief or behavior for 21-30 days to become a familiar new habit or 31-90 days to become an automatic unconscious, solid habit.)
Energy Work ( The use of energy modalities like hypnosis, EFT tapping, NLP, Heartmath, Synergistic Kinesiology w/muscle testing<the modality I use on clients> & Brainwave entrainment audios <the modality I have clients use at home>.
Out of those 4 options, #1 can’t work because you’re no longer a child and #2 is not worth the pain to get to the pleasure. So I prefer to use repetition and energy work for complete and holistic transformation.
to extract or implant new habits. After all, habits can mean the difference between you having a compromising, lackluster life all the way to a thriving and Supercharged life.
You could hire me to help you. I’m really freaking good. I was trained by the best, Stephanie Relfe, who passed away 2 yrs ago. I am one of only 13 trained Synergistic Kinesiologists in the U.S.
I just trained a pro-volleyball team and a CEO of a MAJOR corporation on my 4-part brain activation system that caused them to go to the next level of their person bcs they got out of their own way.
You can research, test and try to transform your habits on your own.
You can do nothing and see what that gets you.
for that matter, let me give you a quickie mission assignment you can do on your own for 7 days straight. A 7-day challenge of sorts so that you can see that you are definitely not helpless or hopeless.
Step 1: Anytime you catch yourself doing the bad habit, picture your toddler self staring at you and asking, ‘what are you doing?’ say to yourself, “This is not me, this is the annoying OCD!’ <This step helps you commit image/identity suicide bcs you separate the behavior from you.>
Step 2: Get a water bottle/tumbler (one that stands out or that your really like) and fill it with pure water each morning.
Step 3. Everytime you pick up your water tumbler to drink throughout the day, ask yourself or aloud, “What if it’s ok for me to be powerful?”
Through repetition you will train your mind to take your power back, instead of relinquishing control to the subconscious habit. In this case, we are using the glass of water as a visual cue to trigger the intrinsically motivating question.
What makes this technique work?
It is a combination of Habit loop training, Universal Laws & Intention setting.
Keep me posted babbbbyyyy!
