

I've muscle tested many people saying affirmations, and if they say an affirmation that their subconscious does not believe, their body goes WEAK. The following are a list of words that you NEVER want to start an affirmation off with:
I am
I can
I will
I have
I want
The only exception to this is if you know for a fact that your mind and dominant belief are in alignment with the affirmation. I can tell you assuredly that in over 90% of the cases, it's not! So do all affirmations suck? New Years Resolution time is around the corner and I can hear you asking me, " I've already designed my vision board & set my goals & intentions. Why the heck are you raining on my parade Joy???"
So stop whining & let's start winning. Listen up!
MISTAKE #1
Saying an affirmation that you don't believe.
There is an easy solution for this. ALWAYS put your affirmations in question form or start them with the words, 'I choose.'
EXAMPLES:
Instead of saying I am healthy
Say: I choose to be healthy
Instead of saying I will find my soul mate this year
Say: How is it that I easily find my soul mate
MISTAKE #2
You don't show your subconscious mind proof.
In my book, Supercharge Your Superhuman I mention a part of the brain called the, RAS-Reticular Activating System that helps you look for proof of your beliefs.
Most people use this tool against themselves.
EXAMPLES:
Whenever they spend money, they think of their bills. This will automatically associate pain with the act of spending money.
Instead: The next time you purchase something, affirm to yourself 'How is it that I ALWAYS have money to pay for my desires?'
You don't put stank on it. Bwhahahaha Go to urban dictionary to find out what that means lol. Seriously I am high on Carrot, apple, ginger, pineapple juice...so if this email is more loopty loo than normal...deal with it!
A fun fact about the subconscious mind is that it does not speak in words. You can only communicate with it through feelings & emotions.
The best way to add emotion to your affirmation is to picture someone telling you, 'congratulations.' Anytime you think of accomplishing your goal/intention, picture someone you love who is non-judgmental saying, 'congratulations." Feel that feeling each time.
